I designed and created Hive in my final semester of industrial design. It is a modular micro-needle nutrient patch system, designed for people suffering from the lack of effective nutrient absorption as a result of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. IBD patients are a greatly underserved community, especially in New Zealand, and the consequences of malnutrition can be life-threatening for this group. Hive offers a sustainable and easy, pain-free way of getting daily nutrients without the abdominal pain and endless supplements.
